I started Plexus to lose weight almost 7 years ago, that’s when I first met Alicia. Since then, Alicia has coached me through improving my gut health, dealing with severe adult acne, completely resolving my daily back pain, helping me navigate my health during my pregnancy and being there for me on a personal level throughout my postpartum journey.
She also helped equip me so that I could take a more holistic and natural approach to taking care of my daughter’s overall health which was so important to me! Abandonment. Rejection. Ridicule. No self-worth. Failure. The list could go on, but these alone contributed to self-medicating with food. Then berating myself for no self-control and repeating the whole process. For 20 years, I misused this body.
March 2021, I had an IUD removed. The following months, problems began to arise. Blood work, doctor visits, and multiple phone calls brought a pre-diabetic diagnosis along with PCOS. In October 2021, Alicia posted an invite to Sugar Busters. I jumped in. I didn't believe in myself and figured i would quit, but here I am! With this group and plan, I have NO SIGNS of diabetes. PCOS is mostly under control, and more than 100 lbs are gone.
This journey had more in store, though. Mindset is a constant work in progress. Confidence is growing, and I believe in myself more every day.
